GIRS IN A BAND FIRST SINGLE TO BE RELEASED SOON
Influenced by the power of repetition, experimental dreams and useless creations, "Girls in a Band" will make your ears bleed.
They describe their "music" as emojis floating in the sea seeking for more emojis floating in the sea.
The Quintet is composed by Brooklyn friends originally from Florida, Texas and Brasil. In spite of the name, the band does not exclude males. In fact, the first single of the band has voice contributions by their drinking friend Lanny Drinks.
Davi Barbosa, a Visual Artist and Programmer from Google, was one of the first people to hear the band's first single. "I think the beat is kind of weird...especially the repetitive word "bands" that goes with the beat. It seems like the voices get cut out before the phrases are done. In the end of the song the weird "cuts" get intensified."
